So, yesterday I watched a movie and in that movie there was about 30 big named actors and actresses. I see that this is becoming a new trend. If you cram enough big names into something it will sell, but some times it is a little distasteful. Are we trying to make a good product or a product that sells?

Hey all! TeeF here again writing something that'll hopefully stimulate your retinas and your heart. As many of you know I had car troubles recently as you saw in my previous post. You might think that the problems previously stated are bad but I have yet to begin!!

So I wake up the next day after my first night in Edmonton. Of which included a huge party with a million people at the institute building. Seriously guys.... you didn't need to go and throw me such a huge party. But yes, the next morning I received a call from the Mitsubishi Dealership. Which will from now on be referred to as Sodom. They called me letting me know my car appeared in their lot... No really?!?!? I told them the short story of what happened and they said they'd take a look.

I get a call back from Sodom later that day. I was hoping the extent of the damage was minimal but had my worries. They told me that it did not look good for my car. They said that my engine was pretty much toast. This is where it got outta control. They quoted me two prices. Neither of them appealed to me in the least bit.
$5000- For a USED motor to be installed
$12,000 - For a NEW motor to be installed!!!

Come on!! I just bought the car a year ago for 14,000 and they want me to pay one third of that just for a used engine?? I said I'd think on it and I hung up not pleased at all. I discussed the situation with my parents and friends. I however had little choice in the matter as I needed a car here. Sodom obviously knew this and felt it was their right to financially take advantage of me. I unfortunately told them to go ahead with the replacement of the used engine.

Later the next week I got a lovely call from Sodom saying that the work was done and my car was running like a top (which actually makes sense if you think about how a top spins and eventually DIES). So you got my little joke? I hope so, but unfortunately it wasn't a joke. My car did indeed die just 2 days after I got it back (I stalled on whyte ave.. not a very good parking place really). I got my car towed BACK to Sodom hoping that it was alright. They said it was moisture in the valve sensor. So they replaced it from my old engine free of charge and gave me the car back.

And again it ran like a top! Dying the same day after i got it back from Sodom on Whyte Ave! Again I had it towed back.. thinking this was ridiculous! This time they told me it was the Crank sensor (which is what tells the cars computer where the crankshaft spin cycle is). This is where it gets redonkulous again. They said I needed to pay another 500 dollars to replace it!!!!!!!!

After I got up from fainting I told them to hold off and I'll discuss it with people. Now.. for those of you who know my mother you will know that she can be quite.... SCARY! So I had this brilliant plan to get my Mom to talk to them and chew them out. She did exactly that, got up to the general manager of Mitsubishi but they didn't budge! I cant even imagine the balls this guy has! He said no to my MOM!!

Sell anyway, long story short, I had to pay another $500 on top of the $5000 already just to get my car working like it was before I took it in there... So if any of you decide to get a Mitsubishi, do NOT get it from the Mitsubishi dealership in Edmonton! The cars are great and I love my car... But the service and people there are awful!

Have a nice day :).

I made the paper one summer. I was working for Apallofus Construction Ltd., and we were demolishing an old building. The building in question was an old school house laced with asbestos. My job was to spray the remains with a fire hose. The theory behind this was that the water would keep the dust down and the asbestos out of our lungs. The newspaper took a picture of me spraying the remains and added the caption "A Piece of History Destroyed." And that hurt a little. Was I really destroying history? And even if I was, was I not justified in doing so? The old school house represented something historical to some people, but to others, it was just an old building. To me the building represented the pain of being stuck in school when the outside was welcoming and free. With the use of my representation, the headline could have read "A Piece of 'the Pain from being Stuck in School' Destroyed." I like that headline better, but would have to admit that it is not as catchy.

The point of this blog is to answer the question of what symbols of our world would I destroy if (and only if) I was a psychopath. Now it would have to be a powerful symbol to make such an act worthwhile, and it would have to be a famous building to add power to the message. Now the building that I would choose would be Harpo Studios. The building itself is not famous but Harpo Productions is famous for harbouring terrorists and Oprah. (Note: Oprah is not a terrorist per se, but she is still associated with such things.) I think that she and Dr. Phil may even have Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Second choice would be the white house. We did it in 1814 and the Aliens did it in 1996 (see Independence Day). Why not do it again?

     What would you destroy?

As many of you know I, TeeF, have just moved to E-town! The news in itself is good, but the method of my arrival is an entirely different story. Although I'm glad to be here, I'd rather be here with a little more cash to throw around.

It all began just outside of Chamberlin(1 hour outside of Regina) when my car started making a really awful noise! It sounded like a moped with the high pitched whine whenever i went over 2500 rpm. Now this couldn't be good I thought as I pulled over to the side of the road. I quickly got out of the car, popped the hood and checked to see if there were any visible damages or leaks. It all looked okay but i wasn't satisfied. I called my dad and he suggested either I come back home or continue to a small town about 20 km farther and have it checked out there. I went to the town and entered this old fashioned garage engine repair shop.

Now normally I leave it to the experts but these guys looked nothing like the sort! They were regular small town old people. Instead of hooking up a computer to my car to diagnose it they took a small wooden squeegee handle and listened to the engine through the handle! Long story short they couldn't figure out what the problem was but they said it was probably just a dirty cam lifter hitting pieces of gunk. One younger more reliable looking guy said he has had the same problem before and that I just need some valve cleaner. So they sent me on my way and I picked up some valve cleaner in Saskatoon.

At first it seemed like it worked! The noise got quieter and it seemed like it was running smoother. So I continued my journey to Edmonton. Just after Lloydminster It started making the noise even louder then before and the oil light came on. I was confident though that I would be able to make it to Edmonton. About 10 miles outside of Edmonton my oil light went off and the noise quit! I shouted out joyous yelps!

Just as when Montreal missed that field goal and it was too many men on the field my heart dropped... as my car began to shudder and shake. I popped the clutch and my engine died going 100 km an hour with no power steering or brakes. I wrestled with the Wheel barely avoiding the ditch and came to a sudden halt on the shoulder of the busy highway.

I was devastated. I called my parents and they arranged for a tow truck to pick up my car and I called Mike to rescue me! I sat in my cold car wrapped in a blanket watching Fanboys. Finally my rescue team arrived and I was taken to safety while my car was taken to the shop..

Thus ended my trip to Edmonton.
